“The ‘less is more’ poster challenge. The basic concept was to create a very modernist, minimalist poster series for movie enthusiasts. The idea is based on a very simple grid: a circle and two diagonals inscribed in a square. It surprised me how many posters I could create based on this very simple approach; the possibilities are theoretically unlimited.”

World’s Most Beautiful Abandoned Places
Italian product manager and web designer Francesco Mugnai recently added a collection of images to his blog touting some of the most beautiful images of abandoned spots and modern ruins that he’d ever seen. The images Mugnai has captured come from empty castles, shuttered power plants, and dilapidated churches around the world. From a sunken yacht in Antarctica to a forever-closed amusement park in Japan, these images all make up a sort of anti-phoenix; rather than rising as new from the ashes, these husks remain preserved in decomposition, forcing viewers to confront the strange beauty of ruination.

“Ongoing side project where I redesign all the logos of my favorite record labels in a retro style. Taking lots of Inspiration from the Batman Animated Series.”
I’ve always a had deep interest in the arts. I grew up writing music in rock bands and creating record artwork for those bands and friends as well. I enrolled in a design program at Columbia College Chicago and also started working as an animator in Chicago at Design Kitchen, which led me into the digital design world. I live outside of Chicago, in one of the western suburbs with my wife and kids.
Whimsy-cals by Randy Otter
You can’t possibly be sad or depressed after seeing any of Randy’s absurd one-panel comics, which often cant decide if they want to be tooth-rottingly sweet or splitting your brain open with a well-timed axeshot… which is to say either will probably kill you eventually, it’s just a matter of how quickly you want to go. The beauty of Randy’s cute yet peculiar panels is, much like the proverbial box of chocolates, you never which one you’re going to get.

The Infinite Progression by Jiyen Lee
I went walking once and it was horrible. Imagine walking on a never-ending, infinite stretch of twisting sidewalks, escalators, and bridges, eternally attempting in futility to get somewhere. Jiyen’s digital collages are like a consumerist’s personal Hell.
